Software Sales Executive

General Summary:

Working closely with the Business Development Director (BDD) and sales and marketing team the Software Sales Executive (SSE) will be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’ software products and related services.

It is expected that the SSE promotes, sells, secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based / consultative sales approach.

Details of Function:
– New business focus — Working end to end sales process. ‘Hunter’ mentality required
– Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities from a variety of activities to include initiating communication through networking, prospecting, cold calling and leading marketing initiatives
– Work with BDD to create a strategic sales plan and mange major account plans
– Regular onsite visits to existing and prospective customers and contact via telephone, email, webex as required
– Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
– Work with the sales and marketing team to contribute towards production of marketing collateral (case studies, brochures, web updates etc.)
– Regular management / activity reporting as required and sales pipeline tracking via the company’s CRM system
– Participate in conferences and exhibitions
– Develop and maintain prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads

Candidate Requirements:
– Must have 5+ years enterprise software sales experience with successful track record
– Must be a new business hunter
– Must be a self-starter and be able to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation/prospecting to closing and ‘client on-boarding’
– Must have closed large complex software deals (£50k+)
– Must have sold into multiple points of contact
– Must have high energy
– Strong technical / IT skills
– Entrepreneurial and excellent communicator
